Vickerstock are delighted to be recruitment partners with our Food Manufacturing client who believe passion & enthusiasm is the key to success on the appointment of Quality Controller for their Newry based site. They are dedicated to being the leading food-to-go manufacturer in the UK and Ireland producing a range of chilled, hot, frozen and bakery products. There are day shift and night shift positions available, working 5 shifts out of 6 working days.
What your typical day as Quality Controller:
- Monitoring production processes and activities to ensure customer, legislative and Company expectations are being met.
- Carrying out finished product checks on all product brands and recording findings on quality documentation including product weight checks and label checks.
- Conducting internal Audits: Glass Hard Plastic Audits.
- Checking the accuracy of measuring equipment - daily and weekly checks.
- Daily Blade Checks.
- Assisting with monthly GMP and fabrication audits.
- Conducting Daily start up inspections.
- Ensuring traceability information is captured.
- Carry out daily routine checks (temperature monitoring).
- Ensuring all non-conformances / corrective actions raised whilst carrying out duties are closed off and agreed by Production/ Quality/Technical Manager.
- Prepare and assist with customer and BRC audits.
What you will need to succeed:
- Previous experience in quality control preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding product quality.
