Vickerstock are working in partnership with a successful & reputable FMCG client based in Newry to recruit a Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for overall leadership and development of a high-performance maintenance team, embedding high standard maintenance processes and practices, taking ownership and accountability for performance agreed (KPI) Key Performance Indicators and leading continuous improvement in all aspects of plant maintenance.

As the Maintenance Manager, your core role and responsibilities will include:

  • Schedule corrective and preventative maintenance activities on manufacturing process equipment with input from appropriate Manufacturing personnel.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance activities on manufacturing process equipment in accordance with applicable procedures, policies and Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot equipment as necessary, working with equipment owners, engineers and equipment vendors.
  • Involved in developing solutions for equipment issues.
  • Ensure the maintenance and calibration schedule is level loaded throughout the year.
  • Develop Maintenance KPI's and maintain tracking tools to monitor department commitments and assignments related to compliance and quality systems.
  • Report maintenance performance to management.

As a Maintenance Manager, ideally you will have 5 years recent and relevant experience of leading and managing a maintenance department within a manufacturing environment - ideally FMCG. A good working knowledge of SAP is required. Must be capable of troubleshooting system issues at a high level. Strong sense of responsibility, leadership and team player. Ability to accurately summarise important technical aspects through report writing.
