Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading FMCG brand builder in Northern Ireland to recruit a National Account Manager (NI) to support and accelerate growth across a portfolio of food and drink brands. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FMCG sales professional to take ownership of key customer relationships, deliver commercial plans, and play a pivotal role in driving sustainable, profitable growth within the Northern Ireland market.

Your new role:

Reporting into the Commercial Director, the National Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing strategic retail accounts. You will work cross-functionally with Brand, Trade Marketing, Field Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer business plans and ensure flawless execution.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership and delivery of annual volume, revenue, and contribution targets.
  • Building strong, long-term commercial relationships with key customers.
  • Development and execution of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional calendars, and trade activation plans.
  • Management of pricing, promotions, retros and accurate customer accruals in collaboration with Finance.
  • Ensuring core ranges and NPD are listed, launched, and executed in a timely manner.
  • Forecasting monthly sales accurately at SKU level to support demand planning.
  • Regular engagement with Field Sales and Supply Chain to drive availability, service levels, and execution.
  • Identification of new distribution and growth opportunities within existing and new customers.
  • Ongoing analysis of promotional and commercial spend to maximise ROI.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager within FMCG.
  • Strong background in food or drink sales (essential).
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing JBPs, promotional spend, and pricing structures.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive, resilient self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High level of IT proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
