The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-performing Recruitment Consultant with at least 4 years of experience recruiting mid to senior-level engineering roles within the UK Food FMCG sector. This role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK, with access to our Manchester hub and full support from our team across the UK and Ireland.
You’ll have the opportunity to take full ownership of a well-defined vertical, leveraging your knowledge of the industry, established client base, and deep understanding of engineering talent in food manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a 360° recruitment desk within the Food FMCG sector, focusing on engineering and technical roles.
- Engage with existing clients while developing new business opportunities through strategic outreach and networking.
- Build long-term, consultative relationships with hiring managers, site leads, and senior stakeholders across manufacturing and production.
- Source, attract, and engage engineering talent using a variety of methods including direct search, referrals, job boards, and industry events.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of roles and candidates, ensuring quality and speed of delivery.
- Hit agreed KPIs and revenue targets, with the support and autonomy to manage your desk effectively.
About You
- Minimum 4 years of recruitment experience within the UK Food FMCG sector, with a specific focus on engineering or technical roles. (Perm or interim)
- Demonstrated success recruiting mid to senior-level candidates across functions such as maintenance, operations, CI, projects, or site engineering.
- A strong network and understanding of key companies, challenges, and talent trends within the Food manufacturing industry.
- Ability to build, nurture, and develop trusted relationships at multiple levels – from site leads to senior decision-makers.
- Commercially minded, target-driven, and confident in leading business development initiatives.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with a professional and proactive approach.
