Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading specialist engineering business to recruit a BIM Technician for their growing team in County Louth. This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM/Revit professional to develop their career within a technically advanced engineering environment.
You'll support the production of detailed MEP models and drawings for major projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe, gaining valuable exposure to offsite manufacturing, prefabrication and project delivery.
The Opportunity
- Develop detailed MEP models and drawings using Revit
- Produce coordinated construction and fabrication information
- Assist with clash detection and BIM coordination
- Update models following design changes, mark-ups and project information
- Produce installation, setting-out and as-installed drawings
- Extract schedules, quantities and information from BIM models
- Work closely with BIM Coordinators, Design Engineers and project teams
- Support the delivery of accurate models from design through to fabrication and installation
What You'll Need
- Experience using Revit within an MEP, building services or engineering environment
- Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design information
- Good understanding of BIM processes and model coordination
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Experience with Navisworks and offsite manufacturing/prefabrication would be advantageous
