The Role:

  • Design and develop high-precision mechanical products and assemblies
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electronic and manufacturing engineering
  • Support new product development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Support technical problem-solving and engineering optimisation projects

This opportunity would particularly suit a Mechanical Design Engineer coming from electronic devices, instrumentation, electro-mechanical systems, scientific equipment, or other precision-engineered product environments. Candidates coming from electronic or technology-focused mechanical design backgrounds are likely to be particularly well suited to the nature of the products and engineering environment involved.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within Mechanical Design or Product Development
  • Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks or similar
  • Experience designing precision-engineered or electro-mechanical products
  • Strong understanding of tolerancing, manufacturability, and engineering documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
