Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Logistics Coordinator..

This is a key role within the supply chain function, responsible for coordinating third-party transport, managing inbound bookings and ensuring all customs and bonded movements are completed accurately and compliantly.

The successful candidate will be commercially focused, highly organised and confident managing multiple transport providers and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate third-party transport for inbound and outbound goods.

Manage transport bookings, delivery schedules and warehouse booking requirements.

Source competitive haulage rates and negotiate with transport providers to secure best value.

Monitor transport performance and resolve delays or service issues promptly.

Manage TSS, bonded movements and HMRC customs processes, ensuring full compliance.

Maintain accurate customs, transport, pallet and cost records.

Liaise with suppliers, warehouses, customers, hauliers, customs agents and freight forwarders to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate CHEP pallet movements and maintain accurate records for customer charging.

Provide packaging sales data to support ERP requirements.

Produce transport and performance reports, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Criteria Experience managing third-party haulage providers.

Practical experience with TSS, bonded movements and HMRC customs processes and systems.

Good understanding of import and export procedures.

Experience using warehouse booking systems.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Commercially focused, with experience managing transport costs and negotiating rates.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Strong communication and relationship management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using transport management systems.
