Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a global leader in power and grid technology to recruit a Hardware/Electronics Engineer based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team developing market-leading monitoring and diagnostics products used by electrical utilities and industrial customers worldwide.
You'll work on a varied role covering hardware design, fault finding, product improvement and manufacturing support, contributing to the ongoing development of innovative electronic products.
What you'll be doing Troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical products and identifying robust engineering solutions.
Working closely with hardware, software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless product integration.
Managing small engineering projects to deliver customer requirements.
Redesigning PCB assemblies to address component obsolescence and supply chain shortages.
Participating in hardware design reviews and ensuring engineering standards are maintained.
Providing technical support across the wider engineering function as required.
What you'll need Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering (HND applicants with relevant industry experience will also be considered).
Previous experience in hardware or electronics design.
Desirable experience Schematic capture using Altium or similar ECAD software.
Firmware knowledge including RTOS or Linux.
Python programming.
Collaborative engineering environment with multidisciplinary teams.
