The Opportunity:
Vickerstock are continuing to grow our Engineering and Manufacturing division and are seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our highly successful technical recruitment team. This is not a cold desk build from scratch. The successful candidate will join an exceptionally warm and well-established recruitment desk with existing client relationships, active vacancies, repeat business, and strong long-term sector partnerships already in place.
We are particularly interested in speaking with recruiters who enjoy building relationships, developing long-term partnerships, and operating in a more consultative and professional recruitment environment rather than purely KPI-driven transactional recruitment. The role would particularly suit recruiters coming from:
- Technical recruitment
- Engineering recruitment
- Manufacturing recruitment
- Industrial recruitment
- Construction or white-collar recruitment
- Professional services recruitment
Candidates with experience managing both delivery and business development responsibilities are likely to perform particularly strongly within the role.
The Role:
- Manage and develop existing client relationships across the engineering and manufacturing sector
- Work closely with clients to understand hiring requirements and recruitment strategies
- Source and manage engineering and technical candidates across multiple disciplines
- Develop new business opportunities across Northern Ireland and border counties
- Build long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
- Use LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and social selling techniques to grow your market presence
- Manage the recruitment process from initial engagement through to successful placement
Essential Criteria:
- Previous Recruitment Consultancy experience
- Experience within agency recruitment environments
- Strong communication and relationship-building capability
- Good organisational and commercial awareness
- Motivated, professional, and self-driven approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-moving environment
- Experience within Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical, Construction, Industrial, or Professional Services recruitment would be particularly beneficial.
Why Join Vickerstock?
We have built one of Northern Ireland's strongest Engineering & Manufacturing recruitment brands through long-term relationships, specialist market knowledge, and a genuinely supportive team culture. You will be joining a business with:
