Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading global engineering and technology organisation to recruit a Sourcing Specialist on a contract basis, supporting a major operational site in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sourcing or procurement professional to join a structured, process-driven environment, supporting purchase order execution, supplier management, and ERP accuracy within defined sourcing policies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of procurement activities, ensuring purchase orders are placed, tracked, and delivered in line with business requirements, budgets, and sourcing policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Place, manage, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Manage supplier relationships to support PO execution and resolve issues
  • Respond to schedule changes, supply disruptions, and procurement challenges
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within ERP systems
  • Apply sourcing policies and procurement procedures consistently
  • Support the execution of functional procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align purchasing with operational needs
  • Communicate procurement and technical information clearly to relevant parties
  • Escalate issues outside defined parameters to senior team members as required
The Person
  • Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles
  • Sourcing knowledge equivalent to degree level or through relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of PO execution, supplier management, and sourcing processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across cross-functional teams
