Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major facilities management company on the appointment of a Group Procurement Manager. This is a brand-new position for the business, offering the successful applicant a unique opportunity to manage procurement activity in a multi-site environment, having a large amount of autonomy to shape and mould the new department. This is an excellent chance for both established procurement managers and those in other senior procurement positions in sectors such as construction, builder's merchants, engineering, manufacturing, and facilities management.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a full review of supply chain expenditure, supplier relationships, and commercial risk exposure across all procurement categories.
- Develop and implement a structured supplier segmentation strategy across strategic partners, preferred suppliers, and approved vendors.
- Establish category management strategies covering subcontractors, labour-only providers, materials, and specialist product supply.
- Develop and introduce standardised subcontract, labour-only, and supply chain framework agreements across the business.
- Ensure all subcontract and supply agreements are aligned with client contractual obligations and framework requirements.
- Lead the ongoing development of group buying initiatives and supplier discount programmes.
- Negotiate improved commercial agreements, pricing structures, and rebate arrangements with key supply chain partners.
- Implement robust procurement governance, purchase order, and contract control procedures across all buying activities.
- Oversee procurement and buying activity across the Mallusk, Omagh, Derry, and Castledawson depot network.
- Rationalise and strengthen the supplier base to improve commercial leverage, pricing consistency, and supply chain efficiency across all depot locations.
- Monitor depot expenditure by category and supplier, identifying trends, efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with SHEQ teams to ensure procurement activities align with compliance, accreditation, and operational standards.
- Produce detailed monthly reporting for senior leadership covering spend analysis, supplier performance, depot procurement activity, and achieved savings.
- Provide procurement and commercial support to tender submissions, bid activity, and pre-construction planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement systems, reporting structures, and supply chain processes.
Essential
- 3 years' recent experience in a strategic procurement position.
- Industry experience in construction, FM, and manufacturing.
