Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Food Safety Officer for their Greater Belfast site. This role will support the delivery of high standards in food safety, quality, and legal compliance across production, ensuring adherence to UK legislation, Food Standards Agency requirements, and internal HACCP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and production conditions
  • Carry out GMP and hygiene audits
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and legal standards
  • Maintain accurate quality and traceability documentation
  • Conduct factory inspections and verify hygiene/PPE compliance
  • Collect samples and complete product quality checks
  • Record non-conformances and support corrective actions
  • Assist with internal and external audits (including BRC)

Essential Criteria

  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene (Level 3 desirable)
  • HACCP knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Basic IT skills

Desirable

  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of BRC or retailer standards
  • Food science qualification
