Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an FM Technician (Building Fabric) to join their growing team across Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across a varied portfolio of commercial sites. The successful candidate will be a multi-skilled tradesperson with strong building fabric experience and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Your day to day
Reporting into the Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a portfolio of sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Duties will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive building fabric maintenance.
- Responding to maintenance requests within agreed service levels.
- Completing maintenance reports and ensuring accurate job records.
- Ordering and managing materials, tools and equipment.
- Liaising with the Helpdesk and management regarding specialist contractor requirements.
- Assisting with site surveys and maintenance reporting.
- Maintaining asset registers and equipment records.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Building positive relationships with site teams and stakeholders.
Typical Maintenance Tasks
- General Building: Roof leak repairs, gutters and gullies. Flooring repairs including vinyl and ceramic tiles. Internal cladding, wall tiling and edge protection. General building repairs and minor painting works.
- Plumbing & Drainage: First-line plumbing repairs and drainage maintenance.
- Joinery: Door repairs and replacements. Fire door inspections and planned maintenance. Ironmongery, hardware and general joinery repairs. Wall and floor repairs.
What you'll need:
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Hands-on experience carrying out building fabric maintenance across commercial environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
And even better if you have these, but not a deal breaker:
- City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery.
- IPAF certification.
- CSCS Card.
- Experience using CAFM systems.
- Previous experience working across multiple sites.
