Actively engage and influence teams to uphold SHEQ compliance and drive performance improvementsDocument site risk profiles with thorough risk assessments, creating and implementing action plans to mitigate risksEnsure an effective SHEQ induction programme for all site personnel, including employees, contractors, and visitorsProvide training and coaching to empower teams to lead SHEQ efforts within their areasDevelop, review, and align SHEQ policies with business needs and legislative requirementsEnhance SHEQ awareness across the business to foster a prioritised safety cultureCollaborate across teams to shape the SHEQ agenda and promote continuous improvementIncorporate health and safety controls in equipment upgrades and installationsConduct regular inspections and random audits, reporting results and recommending improvementsLiaise with regulators for site audits and inspectionsEnsure timely reporting, investigation, and resolution of all incidents and near missesWhat you will need to succeed: BSc (Hons) in Occupational H&S/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent5 years' Health and Safety experience, with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industryKnowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000 standardsProficient in MS Office with excellent reporting and numerical skillsExperienced in all Health and Safety aspects, including policy maintenance, risk assessment, training, audits, and incident reportingDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):Internal auditor certificationEnvironmental certificationFor a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
