The Company:
Our client is a large, well-established manufacturing engineering company with a strong reputation for delivering highly engineered equipment solutions to international markets. Due to continued growth and investment across their engineering function, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and develop their electrical engineering team.
The Role:
This is a senior leadership role within the engineering function, responsible for managing and supporting an established electrical engineering team across multiple engineering and product development projects. You will provide technical leadership, oversee project delivery activities, support engineering process improvements, and work closely with manufacturing and operational teams to ensure efficient product development and release activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the electrical engineering team
- Support engineering project delivery from concept through to production release
- Allocate engineering resources across multiple concurrent projects
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support across engineering activities
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure engineering documentation and design activities are completed to required standards
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain functions
- Support problem-solving and engineering improvement activities across production
- Drive engineering process improvements and standardisation initiatives
- Monitor engineering performance, quality, and delivery objectives
Essential Criteria:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong electrical engineering design background within manufacturing or engineering
- Previous engineering leadership or management experience
- Experience working within OEM, machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial engineering sectors
- Strong understanding of engineering project delivery and product development
- Familiar with engineering documentation and CAD systems
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
