Production Planner / Scheduler Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading global manufacturing business in County Tyrone to recruit a Production Planner on an initial 6-month temporary contract, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position.
This is a fully site-based role offering flexible start and finish times, providing an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in planning production and ensuring customer demand is met efficiently.
The Role As Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring machinery is planned effectively, materials are available when required and customer orders are delivered on time.
Working closely with production, procurement and supply chain teams, you will help drive efficiency across the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.
Schedule machinery to maximise production efficiency and capacity.
Manage inventory reorder points to ensure material availability.
Coordinate aftermarket production scheduling alongside standard manufacturing requirements.
Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to accommodate changing priorities.
Maintain accurate planning data within the company's ERP system.
Liaise with production, purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and production efficiency.
What You'll Need Previous experience in a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or similar manufacturing planning role.
Good understanding of ERP principles within a manufacturing environment.
Experience planning production within an engineering or manufacturing business.
Knowledge of inventory control and reorder point management.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
