You will be involved in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of maritime and coastal infrastructure projects, including ports, harbours, marine terminals, and coastal defence schemes across the UK and Ireland.
Your new role as Civil / Maritime Engineer:
- As part of the maritime engineering team, you will contribute to the design and delivery of civil and marine infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
- Depending on experience, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting or leading the design of maritime and coastal infrastructure projects at concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages.
- Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports in line with relevant standards and Eurocodes.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary project teams delivering ports, harbour, and coastal defence schemes.
- Assisting with contract administration, technical queries, and construction-stage support.
- Undertaking site inspections and structural condition assessments where required.
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to technical mentoring as experience allows.
- Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
What you'll need to succeed as a Civil / Maritime Engineer:
- A degree (BEng or MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering civil or infrastructure projects, ideally with exposure to maritime, coastal, or heavy civil works.
- Strong grounding in civil and structural engineering principles and design to Eurocodes.
- Experience using industry-standard design and analysis software, alongside CAD tools.
- Good technical report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Progression toward Chartered Engineer status (or already Chartered) would be advantageous.
- Engineers at Senior or Principal level should also be comfortable providing technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and supporting project delivery from a commercial and programme perspective.
