This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager or Lead Design Engineer looking for a senior role leading an established Engineering team. You will lead the design and development of complex manufactured products, supporting your team while remaining involved in key technical decisions and engineering problem-solving. The role will involve a mixture of people leadership, new product development, design improvement and working closely with Manufacturing to ensure products are designed effectively for production. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Design Engineers Manage design projects from concept through to manufacture Provide technical direction and support to the Engineering team Lead new product development and improvements to existing products Review designs and help resolve technical issues Work closely with Manufacturing to improve products and processes Manage engineering priorities, projects and resources Drive continuous improvement across the Engineering function Essential Criteria Strong Mechanical Design Engineering experience Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing Engineers Strong 3D CAD experience Good understanding of manufacturing and Design for Manufacture Experience developing products from design through to production Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills A Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or similar qualification would be advantageous. Experience within machinery, equipment, fabrication, heavy engineering or other complex manufacturing environments would be particularly relevant.
