About the Role
Due to heavy workloads and several large, secure contracts, a leading company in Belfast is seeking a Control Panel Design Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in control panel design for industrial, automation, or manufacturing applications. You will be responsible for designing and delivering bespoke electrical control solutions to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical control panels and wiring schematics using CAD software.
- Select appropriate electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, and HMI systems.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to define project requirements.
- Produce detailed documentation, including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams by troubleshooting and resolving design issues.
- Ensure designs meet industry best practices and safety considerations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Essential Criteria
- 3rd level in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 2+ years\’ experience in control panel design for industrial or manufacturing applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software like eplan.
