Vickerstock are working in partnership with a reputable and growing electrical engineering business who are now hiring for an Electrical Estimator on a full-time permanent basis. About As the Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for the preparation of detailed and compliant tender submissions across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, & hospitality/leisure. Duties Review and analyse tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, and associated project information, to prepare accurate and commercially competitive estimates. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive, compliant, and commercially advantageous quotations. Identify and evaluate value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to ensure a seamless handover of successful tenders to Contracts Managers and operational teams. Criteria Proven experience in an Electrical Estimator role or a similar estimating position within the electrical contracting industry. Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, systems, and construction methodologies, ideally supported by a completed electrical apprenticeship and/or HNC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, with experience using electrical estimating software; knowledge of Trimble estimating software would be advantageous. Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
