Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council to recruit a Business Support Administrator. The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive and adaptable Business Support Service across various Council functions and departments, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of high standards in business support. This includes providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Key Responsibilities: Acting as a liaison for specific services or confidentiality and cross-departmental collaboration. Prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency. Handling transactions and inquiries and maintaining document and data integrity. Providing reception services and addressing queries and complaints effectively. Assisting colleagues and customers with business support processes Filing, archiving, and ensuring data accuracy and transferring data to meet statutory or SLA requirements Preparing reports, maintaining follow-ups, and drafting responses. Recording payments, invoicing, stock control, and assisting with budget monitoring. Qualifications: At least 6 months’ previous work experience in the use of a Management Information System. Grade C or above in at least 4 GCSEs* or equivalent qualification one of which must be GCSE English Language or equivalent and one of which must be a GCSE in a numerate subject or equivalent. AND At least 12 months’ previous work experience in the following areas: Customer service (internal and/or external customers) Administrative duties which included typing of letters, reports etc., and filing OR In lieu of qualifications at least 24 months’ previous work experience in the following areas: Customer service (internal and/or external customers) Administrative duties which included typing of letters, reports etc., and filing Other Requirements: A full current driving license and access to transport, or the ability to meet the post’s travel requirements through alternative means.
