  • Monitor compliance with client requirements, company standards, and relevant HSE legislation
  • Work closely with project delivery teams, contractors, and subcontractors to promote safe working practices
  • Provide practical HSE guidance and support throughout all stages of project delivery
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings to site personnel
  • Assist with environmental management initiatives and promote sustainable working practices
  • Support audit programmes and help maintain readiness for client, regulatory, and certification audits
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the development of a positive behavioural safety culture
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and performance data

What you will need to succeed:

  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety, HSE, or SHEQ role, ideally within construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or energy-related sectors
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and its practical application on project sites
  • Experience carrying out audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and contractor management principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence positive safety behaviours and promote a proactive safety culture
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

  • Experience working on decarbonisation, renewable energy, energy transition, or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of technologies such as heat pumps, district heating, retrofit programmes, solar, or battery storage systems
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety certification
  • Experience supporting contractor and subcontractor compliance activities
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives
