Vickerstock Recruitment are delighted to be working with a scaling, local consultancy to recruit an Associate Structural Engineer as part of their continued growth across Northern Ireland and the wider UK market. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for a Chartered Structural Engineer who is ready to step into a senior technical and client-facing role, with a clear and realistic pathway to Associate Director level within 12-18 months.

Your new role as Associate Structural Engineer:

  • Leading the structural design and delivery of projects across commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use sectors
  • Acting as a senior technical authority, reviewing designs and providing guidance to engineers and technicians
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to repeat business and referrals
  • Supporting business development through bid input and early-stage technical advice
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers, supporting a high-performance team culture
  • Contributing to strategic decisions as the business continues to grow

What you will need to succeed:

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status, ideally with IStructE (ICE considered)
  • Strong consultancy experience delivering building structures projects
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships
  • A collaborative leadership style with an interest in developing people
  • Ambition to progress into an Associate Director role in the near term
