Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit an Assembly Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative business designing and manufacturing specialist equipment for a global customer base.

Working within a skilled production team, you'll play a key role in the assembly, testing and inspection of high-quality machinery while supporting the development of bespoke customer solutions.

Your new role:

  • Mechanical assembly of machinery and standard product range
  • Assembly and wiring of electrical panels and pneumatic systems
  • Machine testing, final inspection and PAT testing
  • Support the build and testing of customised equipment alongside Design Engineers
  • Prepare machine kits and components for production
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for servicing and repairs

What you will need to succeed:

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in a mechanical and electrical assembly environment
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings
  • Familiarity with PLCs, control systems and general IT systems
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
