Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading engineering and building services organisation on the appointment of an HSE Advisor for a major Data Centre project in Finland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to join a large-scale European construction project within the rapidly growing data centre sector. Working closely with project management, site teams and subcontractors, you will provide a visible HSE presence across the project, ensuring high standards are maintained across complex engineering and construction activities. In your new role: Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to project and site teams Maintain a strong site presence, engaging regularly with supervisors, employees and subcontractors Carry out site inspections, safety walks and compliance audits Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable legislation Review RAMS, Safe Systems of Work and other project HSE documentation Monitor higher-risk construction and installation activities, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented Support Permit-to-Work processes across relevant site activities Deliver and support site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and challenge unsafe practices where required Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are closed out Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and project performance data Support environmental compliance across waste, pollution prevention and material management Assist with emergency preparedness and project-specific HSE arrangements Work closely with project management, contractors and client representatives to continually improve HSE performance What you'll need to succeed: NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Construction or equivalent recognised Health
