The Company
Our client is a highly innovative Northern Ireland engineering business supplying specialist equipment into the global pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. The business has a strong track record of hiring and developing Graduate Engineers, with many progressing through the company into more senior engineering positions over time. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to appoint a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team within a modern and highly technical manufacturing environment. The company are also preparing to move into brand new purpose-built nearby offices as part of their continued expansion plans.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Mechanical Engineering graduate or early-career Design Engineer to develop their career within a precision-focused engineering business working on bespoke machinery supplied globally.
The Role
- Design and develop bespoke machinery and tooling solutions
- Produce engineering drawings and technical documentation using 3D CAD software
- Support product development, testing, and validation activities
- Work closely with suppliers, production, and assembly teams
- Support continuous improvement and engineering enhancement projects
- Assist with technical support and customer-related engineering activities
Essential Criteria
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3D CAD experience, ideally using Solid Edge or similar
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous placement, project, or industrial experience would be beneficial but not essential
