With an immediate workload supporting ECI projects for Severn Trent and United Utilities, you will have the opportunity to influence projects at an early stage before supporting their development through tender and into detailed design and delivery. Work on major AMP8 water and wastewater programmesImmediate involvement with Severn Trent and United Utilities projectsGain exposure to ECI rather than working exclusively at detailed design stageWork across the full design lifecycle from tender through to constructionCollaborate directly with mechanical, process, civil and project delivery teamsJoin a growing engineering function with long-term opportunities for developmentYour new role as Electrical Design Engineer As Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the development and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. Developing electrical designs for water and wastewater infrastructureProducing electrical calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentationSupporting the specification and selection of electrical equipmentContributing to ECI, optioneering and value engineering activitiesDeveloping designs through tender, design development and detailed design stagesCoordinating electrical requirements with mechanical, process and civil engineering disciplinesWorking alongside project and construction teams to develop practical and buildable solutionsReviewing design information and supporting technical assuranceProviding engineering support throughout project delivery and resolving design queries as requiredWhat you will need to succeed as Electrical Design EngineerDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious electrical design experience within the water or wastewater sectorStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to water infrastructureExperience producing calculations, specifications and technical design documentationExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering teamsConsultancy, contractor and design & build backgrounds will all be consideredChartered status, or progression towards Chartership, would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat's in it for you?
