Civil Design Engineer | Water & Wastewater | Belfast Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with an established engineering contractor as they continue to expand their in-house design capability supporting major water and wastewater infrastructure programmes across the UK.They are seeking a Civil Design Engineer with previous water industry experience to join their growing design team. Initial workload will include Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) on major programmes for Severn Trent and United Utilities, alongside projects at tender, design development and detailed design stages. Developing civil designs for clean water and wastewater infrastructureSupporting ECI activities, optioneering and the development of technically robust and buildable solutionsProducing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentationSupporting projects through tender, design development and detailed designCoordinating civil design with mechanical, electrical, process and construction disciplinesWorking closely with project delivery teams to ensure designs reflect construction methodology and site constraintsProviding technical input throughout project delivery and supporting the resolution of design queriesEnsuring designs comply with relevant industry standards, client requirements and engineering best practiceWhat you will need to succeed as Civil Design EngineerDegree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related disciplinePrevious civil design experience within the water or wastewater sectorExperience delivering infrastructure projects within a consultancy, contractor or design & build environmentStrong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction methodologyAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsChartered Engineer status, or progression towards Chartership, would be advantageous but is not essentialWhat's in it for you?
