Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a growing and forward-thinking organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager. Due to continued growth and success, this is a newly created opportunity within the finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, leading a team, and driving the implementation of a new ERP system. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on finance operations while contributing to the wider success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the end-to-end accounts payable process
- Manage and develop the accounts payable team, overseeing day-to-day operations
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close activities for accounts payable
- Review supplier statement reconciliations, identifying issues and taking appropriate corrective action
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
- Ensure compliance with internal company policies and HMRC regulations
- Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to queries as required
- Lead and support the ERP implementation for the accounts payable function
- Processing of supplier credit notes
The Person
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end accounts payable function
- Previous experience leading or supervising an accounts payable team
- Strong working knowledge of accounts payable controls, reconciliations, and compliance
- Experience or exposure to ERP systems, with involvement in system implementation highly desirable
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
