Associate Civil Engineer – Water / Wastewater | Belfast Vickerstock are delighted to be representing a globally recognised engineering consultancy, with a proven track record in delivering major water, environmental and infrastructure programmes across the UK, Ireland and internationally. As they continue to expand their technical presence in Northern Ireland, this organisation is seeking a high calibre, Associate Civil Engineer to play a key role in leading water and wastewater projects while helping to grow and mentor the local civil engineering team in Belfast. Your new role as Associate Civil Engineer In this strategic role, you will lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure schemes, while contributing to the development of a high-performing civil engineering team. You will be responsible for: Directing civil design across clean and wastewater networks, treatment, drainage and hydraulic infrastructure Producing and reviewing technical documentation including reports, calculations, drawings and project specifications Acting as a key client interface, building strong relationships with utilities, contractors and delivery partners Supporting business growth within the UK and Ireland water sectors, including project resourcing and capability planning Mentoring and developing junior engineers and supporting a culture of technical excellence Championing low-carbon, innovative and sustainable water solutions What you will need to succeed as Associate Civil Engineer To be considered for this role, you should have: Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent) Significant consultancy experience delivering water or wastewater projects Strong technical capability in drainage, networks, hydraulics or treatment infrastructure Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead multidisciplinary delivery Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team growth What\’s in it for you?
