This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Planner who wants to play a key role in ensuring efficient scheduling, excellent service levels, and smooth day-to-day factory performance.
The Role
The Production Planner will take ownership of daily and weekly production planning activities. You will be responsible for delivering a robust schedule that balances customer demand, labour utilisation, stock levels, and factory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate daily production schedules across all product lines, ensuring resources are efficiently planned.
- Build short-term and weekly plans that align customer orders with stock targets and operational capacity.
- Issue clear hourly, daily, and weekly schedules to relevant teams, ensuring full visibility of upcoming production priorities.
- Optimise labour and machine utilisation, reducing unnecessary changeovers while maintaining high service levels.
- Own the creation, maintenance, and communication of factory production plans to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure products are planned with sufficient lead time for dispatch, meeting all customer-specific loading and delivery requirements.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and records for all stock items to support effective decision-making.
- Liaise directly with customers regarding product availability, highlighting any potential shortages or surplus stock.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience within production planning or a similar scheduling role (2 years).
- Strong organisational and analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
