Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading precision engineering company in Antrim to recruit a Manufacturing Manager with a strong CNC background. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance across machining, tooling, and manufacturing engineering functions within a high-performing production environment. This opportunity is well suited to an experienced Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager looking to take ownership of a technically advanced CNC operation and lead a skilled engineering team.

Key responsibilities as an Engineering Manager:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers and support staff.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (8D, RCA, 5S, waste reduction, process optimisation).
  • Improve OEE, reduce scrap and rework, and enhance productivity.
  • Implement CI projects focused on CNC efficiency and automation opportunities.
  • Lead all CNC machining activities across milling, turning, and multi-axis operations.
  • Ensure optimal machine utilisation, cycle time efficiency, and output performance.
  • Oversee CNC programming, tooling strategies, and setup optimisation.
  • Drive best practice in cutting tools, feeds & speeds, and machining methodologies.

Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager / Operations Manager role. Strong background in leading, improving and implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques. Strong background in CNC machining (milling, turning, multi-axis). Experience managing engineering teams within a precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of tooling, CNC programming, and machining processes.
