You will support manufacturing and project operations to promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation. You will develop and maintain HSE policies aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 while driving continuous improvement in a technically complex environment. Expect to lead risk assessments, incident investigations and safe systems of work, working with cross-functional teams across multiple sites. This role offers hands-on impact in shaping safety practices and operational excellence within the business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures and systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and audits with implementation of control measures
- Provide day-to-day HSE support across multiple locations ensuring compliance
- Lead incident investigations and drive preventive actions
- Promote behavioural safety and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions and inductions for employees and contractors
- Monitor and analyse HSE data, produce reports and identify trends
- Act as main point of contact for HSE matters and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Key requirements
- Experience in an HSE role within Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction or M&E
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
- Working knowledge of current HSE legislation and compliance frameworks
- Experience conducting HSE audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Experience developing or reviewing RAMS and implementing safe systems of work
- Full UK driving licence with ability to travel between sites
