Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our FMCG client based in Strabane with the appointment of a Lean Manufacturing Manager for their modern manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining product quality, optimising costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires an experienced leader with a strong background in production management within fast paced manufacturing industries.

Your day to day:
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Lean Manufacturing Manager will oversee all end-to-end manufacturing operations across multiple production and conversion processes.
Production Management:
- Oversee daily production across all departments.
- Manage schedules to meet customer and delivery requirements.
- Drive machine utilisation, material efficiency, and reduced downtime.
- Track performance through key KPIs.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and develop supervisors, operators, and engineering/maintenance teams.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Support training and development in Lean and CI.
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement Lean, 5S, and CI initiatives.
- Improve processes for quality, throughput, and cost.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Quality & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work with QA to maintain consistency and drive improvements.
- Champion a proactive safety culture.
Resource & Maintenance Management:
- Oversee maintenance planning for optimal machine performance.
- Prioritise maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
Your essential ingredients:
- Significant leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven Lean/CI implementation (Lean Black Belt preferred).
- Demonstrated success in managing large production teams and multi departmental operations.
- Strong understanding of production planning, resource management, and process optimisation.
- Data-driven approach with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
