Vickerstock are working in partnership with our client, a leading meat processor supplying major retail, manufacturing and foodservice customers, to recruit a QA Auditor to join their technical team based in Fermanagh.
As QA Auditor, you will support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the Food Safety Plan and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with customer standards, legislation and food safety requirements across the site.
What your day to day will look like:
- Audit, monitor and evaluate implementation of Quality Systems across Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
- Identify and report compliance and non-compliance with legal, customer and food safety requirements.
- Work closely with operations teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with customer, third-party and internal audits and site visits.
- Trend, monitor and investigate site complaints and report findings to management and customers.
- Review and update product specifications and complete product set-ups.
- Ensure product testing schedules are maintained.
- Promote food safety, quality and product integrity standards across the business.
- Maintain and develop elements of the Quality Management System in line with customer requirements.
- Provide support across the technical and site teams as required.
What you will need to succeed:
- Degree qualified in Food Science or a related discipline, or relevant experience within food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of technical and quality management systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
- Excellent organisational, IT and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Food Safety, HACCP or related qualifications advantageous (full training provided).
