They provide strategic consulting, implementation, optimisation and ongoing platform management, enabling customers to improve performance, strengthen adoption and achieve measurable business outcomes. Their approach combines strategic consulting with a strong focus on user adoption and mastery of metrics. They help organisations turn HubSpot into a platform their teams want to use and continue using, and they run the HubSpot Adoption User Group. Role Description
Our client is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to own and grow the commercial relationships across a defined portfolio of their most important clients. Sitting at the intersection of commercial growth, client success and the HubSpot ecosystem, you will act as a trusted senior partner to client leadership, identifying opportunities to deliver greater value through consulting services, retained support and HubSpot platform expansion. This is a commercially accountable opportunity for someone who has successfully carried and achieved revenue targets in a consultative B2B environment. You will take ownership of strategic account plans, expansion opportunities and commercial forecasting, while working closely with Principal Consultants and HubSpot representatives. The successful candidate will be self-directed, comfortable operating within a scaling function and capable of building long-term partnerships rather than pursuing transactional sales.
Role Responsibilities
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of strategic accounts, identifying opportunities for expansion, cross-selling and renewals where you are the account owner.
- Carry commercial targets across consulting and retained services, as well as HubSpot licences and subscriptions, including additional seats, tier upgrades, Hubs and credits.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that align client business objectives with opportunities to deliver measurable value and long-term growth.
- Act as the senior commercial point of contact, building trusted relationships with CEOs, Managing Directors, Sales Directors and Marketing Directors.
- Partner closely with Principal Consultants and technical delivery teams, taking ownership of commercial relationships while enabling consultants to remain focused on delivery.
- Actively manage the HubSpot partnership and lead co-selling activities with HubSpot representatives to identify and secure enterprise opportunities.
- Maintain a robust pipeline, accurate revenue forecasts and disciplined CRM records, providing leadership with reliable commercial insight.
- Proactively identify new opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to the development of a scalable, commercially effective account management function.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience carrying and achieving account growth, expansion or commercial revenue targets within a consultative B2B, agency, professional services or SaaS-partner environment.
- Genuine, hands-on HubSpot experience, with the ability to confidently discuss the platform, its commercial value and opportunities for customer expansion.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, including CEOs, Managing Directors and Sales and Marketing Directors.
- Strong consultative and value-based selling skills, combined with experience developing strategic account plans, managing complex opportunities and growing long-term client relationships.
- Strong CRM, RevOps and forecasting literacy, with the commercial credibility to collaborate with senior technical consultants and the self-direction to operate effectively within a scaling business.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with MEDDICC or a comparable structured sales qualification framework.
- Experience co-selling with HubSpot representatives or managing commercial relationships within the HubSpot partner ecosystem.
- Previous experience in a senior account director, sales director or commercial marketing leadership role within a services-led or SaaS-partner business.
