Role Description: The Regional Finance Director, EMEA is responsible for leading the full finance function across the region, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on controllership. This role owns financial performance, reporting integrity, and operational finance execution, while driving transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, visibility, and business decision‑making. Acting as a key partner to Regional and Global Leadership, this individual brings structure, accountability, and insight to a complex, fast‑paced international environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the regional finance function, partnering with EMEA and Global leadership to drive performance and guide strategic decision‑making.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and executive reporting, ensuring accuracy, insight, and strong linkage to operational outcomes.
- Oversee all financial reporting, month‑end/quarter‑end/year‑end close, compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements, and financial control frameworks.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives focused on process standardisation, automation, efficiency, and reporting quality.
- Lead risk management, audit processes, and governance across all EMEA entities, ensuring consistency and timely remediation.
- Oversee revenue recognition, including Percentage‑of‑Completion accounting, project‑level financial analysis, and profitability improvement.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, treasury activities, and regional tax compliance and filings.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing regional finance team with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, controllership, budgeting & forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse complex financial data.
- Proven capability to solve complex problems and operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise strong judgement across sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated managerial courage, results orientation, and ability to build strong cross‑functional relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/MBA or equivalent professional certifications preferred.
- Proven track record of finance experience across controllership, accounting, FP&A, or treasury.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience leading finance and/or accounting functions within a multinational organisation.
- Background in private equity environments or high‑growth transformation‑driven settings.
- Knowledge of D365, OneStream, SQL, or similar financial systems.
- Strong experience driving process optimisation, automation, and standardisation initiatives.
- Prior exposure to managing complex audit environments and designing control frameworks.
- Experience with project‑based businesses and Percentage‑of‑Completion (POC) accounting.
- Proven track record in cash flow and working capital optimisation.
- Experience managing distributed regional teams in an international business environment.
