Wireless System Engineer – Algorithm Design

Vicinity Technologies Limited, a dynamic leader in the UK’s 5G landscape, is seeking highly skilled Wireless System Engineers to spearhead our cutting‑edge wireless communication projects.

As a key contributor, you will play an integral role in shaping the future of 5G, 6G and NTN wireless systems and algorithm design.

  • Job Responsibilities
  • R&D in 5G/6G TV and NTN radio access network and user terminals software and intelligent application software.
  • Design and optimise 5G signal‑processing algorithms for communications systems, physical‑layer software and protocol‑stack software.
  • Develop cutting‑edge 5G/6G mobile intelligent systems including PHY algorithms, link‑level simulation and theoretical analysis, and research and development on wireless standard technologies.
  • Participate in 5G end‑to‑end system integration, interoperability testing, verifications, performance testing and tuning on 5G/6G base stations and user terminals, network deployment and field trials.

Requirements

  • Ph. D. or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant disciplines.
  • Solid knowledge of radio communications theory and digital signal processing with a background in cellular communication systems across PHY, MAC, and RF preferred.
  • Programming/scripting skills in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ preferred.
  • Proven track record with innovative problem‑solving and hands‑on experience in design, development, testing and standardisation will be an advantage.
  • R&D project development experience preferred.
  • Fluent communication for effective collaboration.
  • A team player with good analytical and communication skills.
