Location: Home-based – Bedford, Coventry, Birmingham, Tamworth, Middlesex, Sussex, Kent or surrounding areas
Vehicle: Fully equipped company van
The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineers to join an established and growing business within the commercial vehicle and transport refrigeration sector.
This is a home-based field service role, giving you the opportunity to work within your local area while being provided with a fully equipped company van and the specialist equipment required to carry out your work.
The Role
As a Transport Refrigeration Engineer, you will attend customer sites within your local area, carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repairs on transport refrigeration equipment.
Your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
- Diagnosing and repairing refrigeration faults.
- Attending breakdowns and completing repairs efficiently.
- Working on a variety of transport refrigeration units.
- Completing service reports and maintenance records.
- Liaising professionally with customers on site.
- Carrying out refrigerant and gas testing.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with F-Gas requirements.
- Maintaining company equipment, tools and van to a high standard.
- Managing your own workload and appointments effectively.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineer with a strong background in mobile refrigeration.
You will need
- Proven experience working on transport refrigeration systems.
- F-Gas qualification/licence – essential.
- Carrier and/or Thermo King experience highly desirable.
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
