Are you an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer looking for a role where your skills are properly rewarded? This is a genuinely varied role where you won't be stuck working on the same equipment or in the same environment every day. You'll visit a diverse range of commercial and industrial sites, working with customers across London and the surrounding areas. There is also a genuine opportunity to develop your career into industrial refrigeration, with access to additional training from recognised industry manufacturers if that’s the path you wish to take.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining, repairing and commissioning commercial Air Con, HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective troubleshooting and system diagnostics
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Responding to breakdowns and service calls
- Carrying out refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak detection and charging in accordance with F-Gas regulations
- Completing service reports and communicating findings clearly to customers and management
- Identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability and energy efficiency
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety and compliance
- Supporting junior engineers or apprentices when required
What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally be a commercially experienced engineer with a strong practical understanding of air conditioning, HVAC systems, controls and associated equipment. You will need:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Air Conditioning, HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Valid F-Gas certification
- Strong commercial Air Con and HVAC experience
- Experience with split, multi-split, VRF/VRV and associated HVAC equipment
- Good refrigeration principles, fault-finding and diagnostic knowledge
- Experience carrying out both PPM and reactive breakdown work
- The ability to work independently across multiple customer sites
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A professional approach to health and safety
- A full UK driving license
Experience working across offices, retail, hospitality, leisure, healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial or other commercial environments would be highly advantageous. Additional qualifications such as IPAF, electrical testing, CSCS, Asbestos Awareness or Ladder Card would also be beneficial.
