Service Supervisor in Doncaster

Are you an experienced Ammonia Service Supervisor or Industrial Refrigeration Engineer looking to step off the tools and into a leadership position?

We’re looking for a skilled Service Supervisor to lead a team of engineers and technicians delivering maintenance, service, installation and repair work across the Midlands region. It’s full time and permanent covering sites up to 1 hour away from Derby.

This role is ideal for a Service Team Leader with a minimum of 5 – 10 years’ hands-on experience working with industrial ammonia systems or for someone looking to move into a more supervisory and planning-focused position, while still staying close to the technical side of the industry.

Key Responsibilities as Service Supervisor

• Supervise and support a team of service engineers, technicians, and apprentices across industrial and commercial refrigeration contracts.
• Oversee service, maintenance, installation, and repair activities on ammonia and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and timely completion of all jobs.
• Estimate labour and prepare accurate quotations for service and maintenance work.
• Plan and allocate labour resources effectively across contracts.
• Mentor and develop engineers through training and technical support.
• Maintain compliance with company and industry safety and quality standards.

Essential Skills & Experience as Service Supervisor

• Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience working with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to motivate, plan, and manage a team.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in a supervisory, senior, or lead engineer role (preferred).
• A proactive, safety-conscious approach to engineering and people management.
