Your mission at Viberoptix, part of the Fibrus Group, is to deliver frontline services to fibre network providers across the UK and Ireland. We are looking for Cabling Operatives to support our network build in Cumbria.
Responsibilities:
- Upkeep and maintain fibre infrastructure to current PIA standards
- Underground and overhead installations
- Work within a team and successfully deliver PIA installation works
- Install fibre optic cables
- Fault find on fibre network infrastructures
- Troubleshoot individual and wider network issues
- Adhere to all health and safety practices
- Use equipment and procedures correctly
- Maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles to a high standard
- Help maximise the maintenance schedule and meet strict deadlines
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Organised and proactive approach to work
- Positive attitude to work
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
- Use own initiative to develop ideas and practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Flexible approach and positive attitude to work
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable But Not Essential:
- Knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) process
