WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Updating and maintaining the information held on our GIS business systems.
- Resolving issues that arise between different data layers and opposing coordinate systems across the applications utilised in the business.
- Publishing online maps and data which can be viewed and shared within the organisation or with the public.
- Survey areas that have incomplete or missing GIS or Telecoms Physical Infrastructure data.
- Identifying asset types and dimensions and recording them accurately.
- Assist in the maintenance of up to date and accurate records of all network inventory from the Fibrus build programme.
- Support with the upkeep and management of data used in Fibrus GIS products.
- Producing ModelBuilder’s or automation workflows utilising ArcPy.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- The ideal candidate will be a passionate recent Graduate eager to pursue a career in GIS and may come from a GIS/CAD/BIM background.
- You will be experienced in the use of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro, web GIS in ArcGIS Online/ Portal for ArcGIS.
- Other open-source GIS/CAD/BIM skills are also desirable.
- You will have experience in a variety of data sources and data formats and using Arcade, Python, ModelBuilder & Dynamo.
- Understanding of Feature Manipulation Engines (FME) and other automated processes.
- Knowledge of Ordnance Survey suite of mapping products beneficial.
- You will have practical knowledge of interactive web-based GIS and/or enterprise GIS technologies.
- An understanding of Fibre Optics in a Telecoms environment.
- BIM and/or 3D GIS knowledge.
- Basic understanding of surveying or field-based data capture experience.
