Are you a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician looking for a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, ongoing training and no Sundays or Bank Holidays?
We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive service centre in Shrewsbury.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.
The Role
- Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Vehicle servicing and general maintenance
- Diagnostics and mechanical repairs
- Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems
- Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required
- Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards
- Identify defects and required remedial work
- Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and Health & Safety
About You
- Valid MOT Tester licence - essential
- Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience
- Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points
Salary & Benefits
£34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
- 44 hours per week
- Monday to Friday plus Saturday morning - finish at 12pm
- No Sundays
- No Bank Holidays
- 22 days holiday
