Vibe Recruit is working on behalf of a leading electronics manufacturing client in Aberdare, who is seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer. This is a key role for someone with an electronics or high-tech manufacturing background who is a strong team player, supporting both Purchasing and the Quotes/RFQ team to secure the best pricing and supply for production and customer projects.
Key Responsibilities- Source and purchase direct and indirect materials.
- Work closely with the Quotes team to provide competitive pricing for customers.
- Negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost savings and secure supply.
- Manage MRP/ERP systems, forecast demand, and maintain accurate master data.
- Identify and manage suppliers, driving improvements in delivery, quality, and cost.
- Support cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven Buyer/Strategic Buyer experience in electronics or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and materials planning.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
- Collaborative, proactive, and excellent communicator.
