Product Specialist - UK South £50,000 starting salary + vehicle allowance + 10% bonus Home-based | UK South | Permanent, Full-time We are working with a leading supplier of process equipment and engineered solutions to recruit an experienced Product Specialist covering the South of the UK. This opportunity has arisen following the promotion of the existing Product Specialist after five successful years in the position, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing business. The role is predominantly home-based, with regular customer and site visits across the region. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. The role You will take responsibility for developing sales across an assigned portfolio of process control products, working closely with customers to provide technically appropriate solutions. Key responsibilities will include: Managing and developing existing customer accounts across the South of the UK. Identifying and securing new business opportunities, projects and specifications. Developing sales across process equipment including valves, pressure safety equipment, bursting discs and associated products. Providing technical product support and advice to customers. Managing a structured schedule of customer meetings, site visits and quotation follow-ups. Developing relationships with OEMs, contractors, end users and other industry stakeholders. Managing opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to project award and account development. Working closely with internal technical, commercial and customer support teams. Supporting exhibitions, customer events and wider sales and marketing activity. About you We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within valves, pressure safety equipment, bursting discs, process control or related engineered products. You may currently be working as a Product Specialist, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Account Manager or similar. Ideally, you will have: Experience within technical sales, business development or account management in an engineering or process environment. Knowledge of valves, pressure relief/safety equipment, bursting discs or similar process equipment. A strong technical understanding and the ability to discuss engineering solutions confidently with customers. Experience developing both existing accounts and new business. Strong commercial awareness and experience working towards sales targets. Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills. The ability to manage your own diary and territory effectively while working remotely. A proactive, self-motivated and commercially driven approach. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory. A technical qualification in Mechanical, Process, Manufacturing or Instrumentation Engineering would be advantageous, although strong relevant industry experience will also be considered.
