Vibe Recruit are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing organisation in the Port Talbot area for a Chemical Process Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position within a busy production environment. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate developing into a fully trained operator.
The Role
As a Chemical Process Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Manufacturing and packaging products in line with company procedures
- Handling and moving materials safely throughout the production process
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck
- Following production instructions and completing tasks accurately
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the working environment
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
- Handling 25kg drums multiple times throughout the shift
- Working both independently and as part of the wider production team
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck accreditation - essential
- Full UK driving licence and own transport - essential
- A strong awareness of Health & Safety within a working environment
- The physical ability to comfortably handle 25kg drums throughout the shift
- The ability to follow instructions and work accurately with good attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work unsupervised when required
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Previous manufacturing, production, chemical or industrial experience would be advantageous.
This is a permanent opportunity offering stable Monday-to-Friday working hours and full training for the successful candidate.
