Yard Operative - Oxford
Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Yard Operative in Oxford?
We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join a busy and successful team, working Monday to Friday with every other Saturday. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is physically fit, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
The Role
As a Yard Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a friendly, busy and supportive team
- Sorting and organising stock
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving materials and stock around the yard and warehouse
- Working both indoors and outdoors
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following all relevant Health & Safety procedures
- Supporting the wider warehouse and yard operations as required
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be physically fit and comfortable being on their feet throughout the working day
- Have good communication skills
- Be reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Be able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Have a good awareness of Health & Safety
- Have a Forklift Truck (FLT Bendi) licence - advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:30pm
Every other Saturday: 7:00am - 11am
