Vibe Recruit's client are looking for a hands-on engineer to maintain and operate factory equipment, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and to high-quality standards. The role includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, setup, and performance monitoring to reduce downtime and support efficient operations.
Salary: £40,000.00 per year
Shifts: Three Shifts - Days (6am-2pm), Nights (10pm-6am) and Afternoons (2pm-10pm)
Job Type: Full-time - Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and maintenance logs.
- Apply lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency.
- Keep the production area clean, safe, and well-stocked.
- Support testing, setup, and calibration of machinery and processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Time-served engineer with a minimum HNC/HND in Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Confident decision-maker with a focus on cost-effective solutions.
- Proficient in documenting maintenance, incidents, and productivity data.
