Are you an experienced Despatch Operative / Warehouse Operative on the look out for an exciting new challenge with an industry leader? We are currently recruiting for a Despatch / Materials Assistant to join a well established manufacturer in Bridgend. This is a great opportunity to join an employer of choice in the area.

As Despatch / Materials Assistant you will:

  • Carry out despatching activities against targets - Pick, prepare and pack in accordance with internal procedures (works orders, SOPs).
  • Organise collection of despatched goods using carrier website / booking systems and completing the relevant documentation.
  • Organise and liaise with packing contractors to prepare and pack machine systems (finished goods), and ensure appropriate close down operations to maintain inventory, financial and control systems.
  • Maintain / review packing materials and uphold best practice packing / picking methods in the despatch role.
  • Provide cover as required for inventory / goods inwards.
  • Receive goods including checking of deliveries, movement of inventory, kitting to relevant teams and registering transactions using an ERP system.
  • Manage and maintain pre-kitting of material to internal customers.

You will need:

  • Experience of despatch / shipping of products to customers / agents in the global marketplace.
  • Experience of warehousing / inventory management within a physical and ERP environment.
  • A forklift licence or experience using a forklift.
  • Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail with proven ability to multi-task, organise and plan time to meet daily / weekly deadlines.
  • A high degree of computer literacy.

This is a permanent, Monday - Friday role with a competitive salary and convenient working hours (an early finish on a Friday). You will also be able to take advantage of great employee benefits and a modern, friendly working environment.
